1st (known) Logo
(1980s)
Logo: An image of a distant array of yellowish buildings in a night sky and little sparkles in the water flips up toward the screen. Two searchlights are also seen scanning the sky. Then, the words "ESSELTE" (in green), "VIDEO" (in pink), and an "X" inside a circle with eight little "points" around it (in purple) flip in towards the screen and arrange themselves horizontally. Then, a bright blue star-shaped flash occurs, turning them gold. Then, the logo shines with several "pings" from left to right (the buildings also shine). Afterwards, another bright blue star-shaped flash occurs, and the image freezes.

FX: The flipping images and the shining effects.

Cheesy Factor: Simple Scanimate effects.

Music/Sounds: It starts off with a dramatic synth bass tune, followed by a synth piano/string fanfare.

Availability: Seen on Swedish tapes of the period.

Scare Factor: Minimal.

2nd Logo
(1990s)
Logo: Following the copyright warning screen, a large red 3D Esselte logo zooms out at an angle and then zooms forth out to the top. We see a bright flash and we zoom out from a slowly-scrolling filmstrip; the camera pans around, revealing a red Esselte logo from before moving the filmstrip (reflections are also seen in it). Afterwards, the film disappears, leaving the logo. "ESSELTE VIDEO", in the same font as before, appears next to it. The logo and words shine.

FX: All the CG animation; nicely done for an early '90s logo.

Music/Sounds: An upbeat rock tune.

Availability: A little more common than before.

Scare Factor: None; this is a good logo.
