Background: New Line Television is an American television production/distribution arm of New Line Cinema launched in 1988 to produce and promote the Freddy Kreuger franchise on TV originally, specifically the show Freddy's Nightmare, closing shortly in 1990 when this series was cancelled; however, in 1995, it was resurrected under the Turner company. Today, it's a subsidiary of TimeWarner.

Nickname: "CGI Ladder"

Logo: It's the same movie logo as New Line Cinema. But this time, "TELEVISION" replaces the word "CINEMA" with a line seperating the logo with a company byline underneath.

Variants: There were different variations of the logo:
  • The full animation of the movie logo but having the words "NEW LINE TELEVISION" instead.
  • On season 3 of The Lost World, the series used the 2001 New Line Cinema logo with the AOL Time Warner byline.
  • On Kitchen Confidential surprisingly appears a bylineless version of the logo
  • Referred to as "NEW LINE TELEVISION PAY PER VIEW" with "PAY PER VIEW" below.

Bylines: The company used different bylines.
  • 1995-1997: "A Turner Company"
  • 1997-2001: "A Time Warner Company"
  • 2001-2003: "An AOL Time Warner Company"
  • 2003-: "A TimeWarner Company"

FX: Just the light flashing or animating behind the logo.

Music/Sounds: The last few notes of the movie theme. Years later, there were different themes. Other times, it's just silent.

Music/Sound Variants:
  • 1995-1997: None, just the finishing of the end title theme from any show.
  • 1997-2001: The last few notes from the movie version or the full theatrical version for some TV presentations.
  • 2001-2003: A synth theme.
  • 2003-: A battle styled theme.

Availability: Quite common. Seen on The Lost World, The Mask: The Animated Series, Blade: The Series, Masterminds, the 2002 version of The Twilight Zone, Family Foreman on TV Land (due to the compressed at the bottom) among others.

Scare Factor: Depending on the logo variant:
  • 1995-1997: None.
  • 1997-2001: None.
  • 2001-2003: Low, the music can give out a few chills.
  • 2003-: Minimal.
